G.W. KEYL was also inspired by Bob Gibson. G.W. joined Guy Guilbert and John Brown at Mother Blues in the Monday night hootenanny trio. He worked with Jim Broyles as The Harris Brothers, playing six weeks at The Gate of Horn. He moved to Anchorage, Alaska in 1968. After a 10-year music hiatus, memories of the singing cowboys renewed his interest in music. A week with fiddle legend Johnny Gimble got him "hooked on swing" as well. He released his western album, "Sunset On The Sage" in 1996, singing the 3-part harmony style of the great western groups. |
